So in my research for my book I started researching popular UK music and somehow I got sucked into listening to some of the stuff that I swore I would never be caught dead listening to such as girl pop bands. I got sucked into it honestly. I have always loved the song Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus and then I found out Girls Aloud did their own version and I can't get enough of it. Then I found the Sugababes and they have this song called About you now. It gets stuck in my head and I find myself humming it when I have not heard it for days.
Then yesterday Perez Hilton posted this song by the Veronicas called Take me on the floor and I can't get enough of it.
Also, I have this story in my head now that has nothing to do with my book, totally different characters and I think it's a short story so I think that's going to come first.

so
It's 9:30 on Sunday morning and I'm up for work. I work 8-4 and all I want is to crawl back in bed.
So updates all around..starting with my book. I have some new ideas that I'm trying to figure out how to make work into the timeline, some more research I need to do in order to make these changes and then I need to redo the layout of it all and probably cut some things out. I can only imagine that when an author gets their book into the hands of the publisher and it's already printed and out in peoples hands that they find things they should have tweaked or should have left in. The creative process is enough to make one nutters.
On a personal front, I am really going to start kicking butt this week on diet and exercise. I've already noticed I'm not snacking much. I plan to be a vegetarian after my birthday but I'm already shying away from meat. I have some vegetarian recipes I'd like to try out and I love the Morningstar Farms Spicy Bean burger. I've decided to workout 3 or 4 days a week and on Fridays I'll do one of those workouts plus water aerobics.

life
Since I started my new job I haven't even touched my book. The story is still in my head, albeit very changed, but no time to do anything lately. I figure when the kids get back to school things will change, I hope. I'm quite sad about the lack of writing time. I still feel the creativity flowing but it's just not happening for me at the current time.
I got to show my mom the man, an actor, who inspired the character of Kian, and all she commented on was his hair. Oh well, my book...my taste. She's a nutter anyway.
I'm feeling rather let down by this whole summer. It's been rather dull and I hope for excitement soon.

updates on various goings on
Okay so I've been doing some work on the general idea of my book. I had determined I wanted it to be in diary form because I am not all that great at dialogue in terms of 'bob walks into the room and says...'blah blah'. It just seems to horrid to read back when I've written like that but I've decided to try a different tact so that everything is not from the main females perspective. In the day of internet and email and IM I have decided to include things such as email, IM and blog posting/comments. I think it could work.
As for my weight loss goal I have decided not to weigh myself until August 1st. I know what I weighed on June 30th and will weigh myself after 1 full month. I did mile 1 of Walk Away the Pounds just a few minutes ago and despite not using any weights I really feel it in my arms.
I have also decided on another change to be effective the day after my birthday. My birthday itself is on September 24 and as of September 25, 2008 I have decided to adopt a vegetarian lifestyle. I do not want to be vegan but vegetarian is something I have considered for a few years. I do want to get the skinny bitch cookbook and try some vegan recipes but will not go vegan. I like ice cream too much.
